Thousands of families cross state lines into and out of Arizona every year. Here is what they get when they book with us.
We're a fully licensed and insured interstate carrier (USDOT 2552260), not a broker. The crew that loads your household in Arizona is our crew, and one point of contact follows your move door to door.
Your quote comes from your actual inventory list. The price you lock is the price you pay for the items and access conditions you've declared, and you can adjust the list until one business day before the move.
Ship your car with the same move, on an open or enclosed trailer, with door-to-door or terminal pick-up. One mover, one schedule, one bill for the household and the vehicles.
Arizona is one of the strongest migration magnets in the country, and the flow is dominated by one neighbor: California. Washington and Texas follow, and the busiest single route runs from Los Angeles County to the Phoenix area.
Sample ranges by home size for the most common routes into Arizona. Your exact price comes from your inventory list, guaranteed before moving day.

Pick only what your move needs. One coordinator runs all of it, from the first quote to the delivery walkthrough.
Our core long-distance moving service covers the entire relocation: a detailed inventory, professional loading, interstate transport, and unloading with furniture reassembly at your new Arizona address. Heading out of state instead? Same crew model, same guarantee.
Every move starts with the inventory list, so the quote reflects exactly what’s on the truck. You can update it, and the price, until one business day before moving day.
Free standard packing is included: we wrap, pad, and protect large items and disassemble furniture before anything goes near the truck. If you want the whole house handled, our packing service scales from a few fragile boxes to a full-home pack with labeled containers.
Arizona moves get one extra consideration most states don’t: summer heat. Our crews know what shouldn’t ride in a hot trailer and will flag those items during the inventory.
Snowbird season alone moves thousands of vehicles in and out of Arizona every year, and plenty of year-round movers bring a car or two along. Our car shipping runs on open trailers (the economical choice) or enclosed trailers (full protection from sun, dust, and road debris).
Choose door-to-door pick-up and delivery, or save with terminal-to-terminal service. Vehicles are insured in transit, with coverage up to $100,000 on open and $500,000 on enclosed trailers.
Every Arizona move includes 30 days of free storage in secure, climate-controlled facilities, which helps when your closing date and your move-out date don’t line up. After the free month, keep the unit at a standard monthly rate or move out with no penalty.
Basic liability coverage is included on everything we load. For complete protection, optional Full Value Protection (full-value valuation coverage) has damaged items repaired, replaced, or reimbursed at market value.
Four steps from first call to move-in day.
Walk through your inventory with a move coordinator and get a guaranteed price — adjustable until one business day before the move.
Pick your pickup window. Summer moves in Arizona start early in the morning for a reason — we schedule around the heat, not through it.
The crew arrives with supplies, packs and wraps your belongings, disassembles furniture, and loads the truck. Standard packing is already in your price.
We transport, unload, and reassemble at the destination — anywhere in the country — and walk the inventory with you before we leave.
From the Valley of the Sun to the high country, we move households in every corner of Arizona — Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler, Glendale, Tempe, Flagstaff, and everywhere between.
Arizona gained a net 55,505 residents from other states in 2024, the fourth-highest in the country (U.S. Census Bureau, 2024 ACS). California leads by a wide margin: 52,383 Californians made the move that year, with Washington and Texas next in line.
The busiest single corridor runs from Los Angeles County to the Phoenix area, which took in roughly 8,700 LA households in 2022 alone, according to a StorageCafe analysis of Census data.
Jobs are a big part of it. TSMC has grown its Phoenix semiconductor investment to $165 billion, the largest foreign direct investment in U.S. history, on its way to about 6,000 fab jobs. Aerospace runs even deeper here: the Arizona Commerce Authority counts more than 1,200 aerospace and defense companies employing over 62,000 people. Add it up and Maricopa County gained 57,471 residents in a single year, the third-largest jump of any U.S. county.
Retirees keep coming too: a net 20,203 residents aged 60 and older in 2023, third in the nation behind Florida and North Carolina. A fab job in Phoenix or a winter without a snow shovel, whatever pulls you here, our long-distance moving service gets your household to Arizona in one guaranteed-price move.
Arizona is no longer the bargain it was a decade ago, but for movers arriving from the coasts it still pays off. Overall cost of living runs about 5% above the national average, and housing about 14% above, per the 2026 C2ER Cost of Living Index. For the Californians who make up the largest share of new arrivals, the math still works.
Homebuilders have noticed. Maricopa County added roughly 38,000 housing units in a year, more new housing than any county in America. New subdivisions across the Valley mean modern floor plans, and yes, HOA move-in rules our crews already know how to work around.
Not every truck rolls inbound. In 2024, 28,174 people moved from Arizona to California alone (U.S. Census Bureau, 2024 ACS), and plenty more headed for the Pacific Northwest, Texas, and the Mountain West. If you’re the one leaving, the same crew model applies in reverse: free standard packing, car shipping on the same move, 30 days of free storage on the far end, and one guaranteed price for all of it.

Arizona is stricter than most states here. The MVD expects new residents to register their vehicles as soon as residency is established; there is no grace period, and most out-of-state registrations expire the moment you become an Arizona resident. Working in the state or spending seven-plus months a year here is enough to make you a resident. The driver’s license works the same way, though with a valid out-of-state license the written and road tests are normally waived.
If you’re settling in the greater Phoenix or Tucson area, vehicles from 1967 onward must pass an emissions inspection before first registration, unless exempt. Most vehicles are exempt for their first five model years (Arizona Department of Environmental Quality). The rest of the state skips this entirely.
Arizona switched to a flat 2.5% state income tax in 2023, one of the lowest flat rates in the country and a real draw for arrivals from California’s graduated brackets. Budget for the annual Vehicle License Tax on your cars, and note that sales tax varies by city within the metro.
Much of the Valley is master-planned: gated communities need gate access arranged for the crew, many HOAs require a certificate of insurance before move-in, and downtown Phoenix high-rises want elevator reservations. None of it is a problem when it’s planned. Tell your coordinator during the quote and we handle the paperwork before moving day.
Phoenix averages around 111 days at or above 100°F a year, and 2024 set the all-time record: 113 straight triple-digit days (National Weather Service). Heat like that reaches into a parked trailer, so candles, vinyl records, some electronics, and glued wooden instruments shouldn’t ride unprotected in summer. Our crews flag heat-sensitive items during the inventory, load early in the morning, and offer climate-controlled storage.
Arizona’s monsoon officially runs June 15 through September 30. On I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson, ADOT runs a first-in-the-nation dust-detection zone near Picacho Peak where speed limits drop from 75 to as low as 35 mph in a haboob. The road north is a different animal: I-17 climbs from 1,090 feet in Phoenix to 6,910 feet at Flagstaff in about 146 miles, so in winter that end of the state is snowplow country. We plan routes and pickup windows around all of it.

Read MoreThe price of a long-distance move to or from Arizona depends on your inventory, the distance, and the services you add, so we quote from your actual item list rather than a flat guess. The quote is guaranteed for the inventory and access conditions you declare, with no surprise fees at delivery, and you can adjust it up to one business day before your move.
October through April is the comfortable window. Phoenix summers run triple digits for weeks at a stretch, and monsoon dust storms hit the I-10 corridor between mid-June and the end of September. Summer moves are absolutely doable; we just schedule loading for early morning and keep heat-sensitive items out of the trailer.
It depends on the origin and the route. A move from Southern California is typically a matter of days, while coast-to-coast relocations take longer. Your move coordinator gives you a delivery window when you book and keeps you updated while your shipment is on the road.
Yes. We arrange open-trailer shipping (the economical choice) or enclosed shipping (full protection from sun, dust, and debris), door-to-door or terminal-to-terminal. One tip for the Phoenix and Tucson areas: vehicles from 1967 onward need an emissions inspection before first registration unless exempt, and Arizona gives new residents no grace period on registering, so plan that errand for arrival week.
Candles, vinyl records, certain electronics, aerosols, and glued wooden instruments are the classic heat casualties. A trailer parked in the Arizona sun gets far hotter inside than the air outside, hot enough to warp vinyl and soften glue joints. Our crews flag these items during the inventory and can route them through climate-controlled storage instead.
Yes. Every move includes 30 days of free storage in secure, climate-controlled facilities. In a state with Phoenix’s summer temperatures, climate control isn’t optional for furniture, electronics, or anything with glue, finish, or wax on it. After the free month you can keep the unit at a standard monthly rate, or move your belongings out with no penalty and no further obligation.
Basic liability coverage (60 cents per pound per damaged item) is included on everything we load. Optional Full Value Protection, a full-value valuation coverage, means damaged items are repaired, replaced, or reimbursed at market value. Vehicles ship with transit coverage of up to $100,000 on open trailers and $500,000 on enclosed trailers.
Immediately. Arizona gives new residents no grace period, and most out-of-state registrations expire the moment you establish residency (Arizona MVD). Working in the state, staying seven-plus months a year, registering to vote, or enrolling kids in school all make you a resident. The driver’s license follows the same rule, though with a valid out-of-state license the tests are normally waived.
Arizona charges an annual Vehicle License Tax based on 60% of the car’s original MSRP rather than what you paid: $2.80 per $100 of assessed value for new vehicles and $2.89 for used, declining each year (ADOT fee schedule). On a $30,000 vehicle that works out to roughly $504 in the first year. Budget for it alongside the move.
No. Arizona has stayed on Mountain Standard Time year-round since 1968, with the Navajo Nation as the lone exception. From March to November, Phoenix clocks match California; the rest of the year they match Denver. Worth remembering when you schedule utilities, deliveries, and your movers.
